Kander Outraises All Three of His GOP Opponents Combined by $66k

 ~ Kander Now has $400,000 Advantage Over Nearest Opponent ~
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – First quarter fundraising reports filed yesterday show that Democratic Secretary of State candidate Jason Kander outraised all three of his Republican opponents combined by more than $66,000. Kander also finished the quarter with more than $648,000 cash on hand, which is $400,000 more than his nearest opponent.The first quarter fundraising totals in the Missouri Secretary of State race include:

  • Jason Kander raised $252,755 with $648,567 cash on hand.
  • Bill Stouffer raised $38,675 with $247,157 cash on hand.
  • Shane Schoeller raised $96,084 with $185,893 cash on hand.
  • Scott Rupp raised $51,465 with $148,375 cash on hand.

“In the last three months our campaign has logged over 15,000 miles traveling every part of the state. As I talk to folks from Springfield to Kirksville, they tell me they want a Secretary of State with the courage to lead, to stand up to partisan extremists and do what’s right for Missouri,” said Kander. “I am humbled that so many Missourians from every corner of the state have decided that I am the candidate they trust to fight for them.”

Jason Kander is a State Representative from Kansas City and previously served in the Army National Guard. As a military intelligence officer in the Army Reserve, Kander volunteered in 2006 for deployment and served in Afghanistan. In 2010, he was one of ten soldiers selected as national finalists for Army Reserve Outstanding Junior Officer of the Year. Rep. Kander currently serves on the Missouri Veterans Commission. Kander is a lawyer and lives with his wife Diana in Kansas City.
